In an age when so many veterinary hospitals are corporately owned, it feels refreshing to have a locally owned practice like Milestone Veterinary Hospital in our community. From Dr. Audrey to every member of the staff, the level of kindness, compassion, and care is truly exceptional.
Today, our furbaby Finn was neutered and is resting comfortably at home. Throughout the entire process, we felt informed, supported, and confident that he was receiving excellent care.
Recommending Milestone Veterinary Hospital to anyone looking for a veterinarian is one of the easiest recommendations we could make.
Edit to respond to management:
Correct, I did speak with your receptionist the same day, which you may see as hasty, but I firmly believe it is still the same criticism I would have provided had I spoken to you prior. I also told your receptionist when I was available because I work during the majority of your practice’s hours, and that if it was easier to communicate around the manager’s schedule, I made sure she had my email on file and told he I was able to be reached there as well. I’ve yet to receive an attempt to be reached besides the voicemail that was left giving me hours to call back that I directly specified I was unavailable between.
I sat on this information a week before deciding to take control of my immense disappointment that your staff made absolutely zero mention of or reference to the behavior that noted in her file. When her behavior was discussed in detail with both the technicians and the Dr during her appointment, I spoke honestly about my cat’s normal day-to-day behavior that has never once been aggressive or even so much as agitated or irritable, food related or not. I’m not sure if that’s hard to believe. I don’t believe that staff was making anything up about my cat hissing when food was taken away either, that’s fine and I understand what took place, but you would think that abnormal behavior that contrasts the owner’s observations would be brought up before being written in a way to be perceived by other providers that my pet has behavior issues and is food aggressive. And it was perceived that way by the next reputable Dr I brought her to and the reaction that came as we went through her file from Milestone said just as much.
Beyond that, I feel transparency is incredibly important when it comes to providing animal care, and that having a pet is not a luxury but the privilege of having a companion to take care of by any means. Milestone exemplified none of that through their pricing and process for quoting the needed care. I was urged to get bloodwork in preparation for going forward with said care before being given any pricing whatsoever. It was insisted the quote would take a minimum of a day to be sent to me after spending a whopping $341 for exam, bloodwork, and 1 round each of a steroid and antibiotic (blood work alone was $255, which was supposed to include other tests, the results of which are not noted anywhere on her chart as far as I can see.) When I did finally get the estimate, The price was nearly double of what I was easily given ballpark information about over the phone with several other practices as well as what we paid for the provider we went with. That’s completely deceptive and cruel to waste a clients time and hard earned money in such a way, especially given the state of the economy. If that’s what you want to charge, FINE! That is not my issue, and I can respect the fact that your services are out of our budget. My issue is spending $340 to even lay my eyes on a figure, and I think potential clients should be aware of how your clinic works.
I am still open to a conversation if you feel something needs to be clarified or better explained about our visit, but I have been the one experiencing the chain of events that prompted my concerns and my frustration thereafter. You have multiple means of communicating with me but choose to put the burden on me while seemingly being passive aggressive about how promptly I posted my review. If you were actually concerned, we’d have been in touch already. I do sincerely hope the criticism has been been helpful, whether it be to you or a potential client, and you know how to reach me:)
Dr. Audrey and her team offer the most compassionate care! The staff here truly care and go above and beyond for all their patients. The pricing is fair. It’s important to me to support locally, privately owned vet clinics in a world where private equity and corporations are doing everything they can to control your access to pet care.
I cannot recommend Milestone Veterinary Hospital highly enough. Dr. Audrey is an exceptional doctor who clearly prioritizes the well-being of both her patients and their owners, rather than simply focusing on profit. It seems the entire veterinary team shares the same priority.
My sweet dog has struggled with ongoing skin allergies and, more recently, digestive issues. Throughout both, she has been incredibly thorough—taking the time to explain diagnoses in detail, present multiple treatment options, and ensure I feel confident in every decision. What truly sets her apart is her ability to consistently resolve issues while also educating me along the way.
Over the years, I’ve seen several veterinarians, but she is the first to clearly and comprehensively explain my dog’s allergies. Even more impressive is her commitment to staying current; at each visit, she brings fresh insights, new ideas, and thoughtful adjustments to my dog’s care.
Beyond the outstanding medical care, the entire team is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. It’s clear that this practice is dedicated to both excellent medicine and exceptional client experience. I truly can’t say enough good things about them.
We've been bringing our dogs to see Audrey and her team for a few years, and I can honestly say we wouldn't go anywhere else. Audrey is a fantastic vet — knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely invested in her patients. But we've also seen other vets at the practice and have had nothing but great experiences across the board. The quality of care here is consistent no matter who you see.
What really showed us the kind of practice this is happened when we lost our older dog over Labor Day weekend. She died rather unexpectedly, but despite the clinic being closed for the holiday, one of their techs, Victoria, came in on her day off to help us with arrangements the day after we lost her. They didn't have to do that, they were after all closed and could have directed us to go somewhere else. The fact that they did, without hesitation, tells you everything you need to know about the people who work here.
Highly recommend Audrey and the entire team. They genuinely care.
